Hello beautiful people! :)

In the society of today, and that of decades ago, we got caught into appearances. Us, ladies, are even a bigger victim of this social torment. Although we should not need a reminder in the first place, in times of doubt, think of Ralph Waldo Emerson and what he has to say about our own beauty.

NUMBER ten :

"What lies BEHIND you and what lies IN FRONT of you pales in comparison to what lies INSIDE of you."

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

In this new millennium, appearance has become a key asset in several fields, much more than needed. Sadly enough, we all know looking the look would help us getting that job we want. Of course, it's not appearance that primarily matters, but it for sure does give a boost towards our goal. Same goes for dating, or getting free entrance in a club, etc. Beauty does matter. And even if that's true, why should we care? We care and we get insecure because we compare ourselves to others. We compare ourselves to people as significant as actors like Gal Gadot or people as meaningless as this girl you just walked by a few hours ago.

STOP! STOP THIS RIGHT HERE AND RIGHT NOW.

You have no idea what they went through, or what they did to look how they look now. Worse, I can bet you that at the exact moment you were judging them and comparing yourself to them, so did they. They probably thought you were better looking than them, or that they were not happy in their skin. We all have insecurities and we all think low of ourselves. We should not. I know I am not the prettiest, the fairest of them all gorgeous ladies out there, but I value who I am and I would much rather stay who I am than to look as gorgeous as Blake Lively. God knows of course it would not hurt to look prettier, but I am content with who I am. If I do feel like a bit of change, I take the motivation to do a little work out and feel great in my own skin. Take what you have and embellish yourself with your own taste. But please girls, and lads, don't change your body and who you are to correspond to other people's tastes.

You only know how much you went through. Your personal achievements, as huge as they are, are unknown to the public. So don't let the public judge you and make you think you're unworthy.

You are beauty. You are originality. You are you. Don't lose that.

Your beautiful girl out there,

xoxo
